Our Story
We are Daniel Restrepo and Charlotte Versmissen, a Colombian–Belgian couple brought together by our shared passion for travel and for Colombia.
Having lived both in Colombia and in Belgium, we combine local knowledge with an international perspective. This balance allows us to truly understand the country while also anticipating the expectations, comfort, and attention to detail that international travelers value.
Together we speak four languages — Spanish, Dutch, English, and French — and share a deep appreciation for meaningful travel, refined simplicity, and the natural beauty of this country.
Having welcomed guests from around the world, we have developed a keen eye for the details that elevate a stay. Reverie was born from that vision: a place where hospitality, nature, and thoughtful design come together.
How it Started
In 2015, after organizing many trips for friends and family, we decided to turn our passion into a profession. Lulo Colombia Travel was born as a boutique agency focused on flexible, tailor-made experiences. Working closely with our travelers gave us a deep understanding of the country and of what makes a stay truly unforgettable. Again and again, one region stood out for everyone — the Coffee Zone. When we began to dream about creating a place of our own, we knew it had to be here: somewhere surrounded by nature, yet close to the most beautiful villages of the region. In 2022, we found this land in Bambuco Bajo, near Filandia. What started as a vision slowly became reality. Today, Reverie is a small and intimate retreat designed for travelers who want to slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the Coffee Region in a personal and authentic way. And this is only the beginning.
